About · Privacy

A small policy.

We collect what we need to match you, and nothing more. Below, in plain language, is everything we keep and what we do with it.

Last updated: 14 May 2026.

What we collect

When you sign up: your email and password, used to sign you in. Your name, date of birth, gender, university, program, phone number, and a short bio, used to introduce you to your match.

Your answers to the personality questionnaire (twenty-five questions), used by the matching algorithm.

Your weekly opt-in confirmations, used to know whether to put you in the matching pool.

Your post-date feedback (whether you met, how it went, optional notes), used to refine future matches and to keep the community safe.

How we use it

We pair you with one other member each Wednesday, based on complementary personality scores.

We share your first name and phone number with your match on Wednesday at 18:00 Stockholm time. Not before. We do not show your full name, photo, or other profile data to other members.

We never sell your data. We never share it for advertising. We do not use it for any purpose outside running Albano.

Where it lives

On servers in the European Union, hosted by Supabase.

Your password is hashed and never stored in readable form. Your email, phone number, and personality answers are kept private from other members at all times. Match data is visible only to you, your match (after reveal), and Albano administrators.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can access, edit, or delete the data we hold about you at any time.

To request a copy of your data, or to delete your account, write to hey@meetalbano.com. We respond within 14 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

Retention

We keep your data for as long as you are a member.

When you delete your account, we delete your profile, scores, and feedback within thirty days. Anonymised aggregate statistics (e.g. how many matches met, how many didn't) may be kept indefinitely.

Cookies

We use one cookie, set by Supabase, to keep you signed in. It is created when you sign in and cleared when you sign out. We use no tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Changes

If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we'll let you know by email and ask you to read it again before continuing.
