Matched on personality.
One name a week.
Albano is a blind dating circle for university students in Stockholm. It is named for Campus Albano, where the grounds of three of the city's universities meet. We pair you on the Big Five personality traits. No photos. No bios. One name on Wednesday.
Tired of swiping into nothing.
Dating apps are exhausting. You swipe for an hour. You match with ten people. Two of them reply. None of you ever meet. Most students we spoke with said the same thing: it has stopped feeling like dating, and started feeling like another feed to scroll.
Meanwhile, students want to socialise more. International students especially. They move to Stockholm, lectures end, the flat is quiet, and the easiest people to message are the ones they already know. Meeting a stranger has become hard.
Albano is a simple answer. One name a week. You meet in person. It might be a date. It might turn into a friend. Either is fine. The point is to leave the flat and meet someone new.
We pick on personality. That is the only thing we look at. No photo, no height, no bio. You also do not get to choose. Endless options are how dating turned into anxiety. So we hand you one name on a Wednesday. The way it worked twenty years ago, before any of this.
The product is small on purpose. You fill out a personality questionnaire. Each Wednesday at 18:00, Stockholm time, one name and one phone number are revealed. You take it from there.
A rhythm of seven days.
- At signupThe questionnaire, once.
New members complete part one and part two. Twenty-five questions in total. You answer them once, when you join. They shape every match that follows.
- Wed · 18:00A single name is revealed.
One match. First name, age, university, phone number. Nothing else. The week is yours.
- Thu — SunYou meet, or you don't.
Albano does not chaperone. We do not read your messages. We do not host the date. Members organise the rest themselves.
- Next WedWe ask how it went.
A short note before the next match. Three honest answers in a row mark a strike. Three strikes ends a membership.
Three things to know.
Wednesdays at 18:00. There is no skipping forward, no extra match, no premium tier.
Each member is given two invitation codes to share. They are not refilled. Choose carefully.
Standing up a match, no-shows, or unkindness reported back will end your membership.
For three campuses.
Members must hold a current student email at one of the three universities that share Campus Albano. Verification is by university email at signup.

Briefly answered.
- Can I have more than one match a week?
- No. One per Wednesday. The next is seven days away.
- What if I do not match anyone?
- Some weeks, the circle is small. The dashboard will read: No match this Wednesday yet. We will write the following week.
- Are the matches algorithmic?
- Fully. Your answers produce a score on each of the Big Five personality traits. Based on personality research, you are matched with the person whose scores most complement yours.
- Where do you store my answers?
- On servers in the EU. Answers are visible only to you and to the matching process. They are never shown to other members.
- Can I leave?
- Yes, at any time. Cancelled memberships are not reinstated, and codes do not return to the giver.
